Being brought up on a diet of  70’s &  80’s funk & soul music courtesy of my fathers good musical taste was what really started me off on my musical journey. I became totally hooked on the  funky & soulful sounds from these two decades and listened and collected nothing else.

 That was until I became the manager of a local nightclub which I successfully ran for many years.. & it was while  hearing the resident Dj on the wheels of steel that really opened my eyes to the world of Djing and House Music.

After an unforgettable night in the Ministry of Sound  back in the early 90′s  listening to a dj set from C&C Music Factory i felt inspired enough to take up the art myself, and soon after i was playing Funky, Latin & Soulful House on the club circuit in Bournemouth. I also turned my hand to promoting, putting on  successful nights at the Manor Club, The Old Fire Station, & Alcatraz Club. Eventually I broadened my horizons by gaining residency’s in London & Wolverhampton being a regular at The Gardening Club,  The Ananada Lounge & Wobble.

 Over the next few years i had the invaluable opportunity to Dj with some of  the worlds finest, such as Eric Morillo, Ian “45″ Carey, AFTC,  Grant Nelson, Bobby & Steve, Phil Asher, Mat Jam Lamont, Paul Trouble Anderson, Danny “Buddah” Morales plus many more to list here.

 By 1999, I joined forces with the Swiss based promoter “Charlie Spirit“, this opened  the doors to Europe where I  played in all the top clubs in cities such as Geneva, Lausanne, Brussels, Amsterdam, Murcia, Valencia.

 In 2002 having made contacts in Spain, i decided to move there permanently. I lived there for the next 9 years, making a name for myself on the Spanish club circuit playing in all the most popular resorts & cities. Living in Spain also introduced me to all the different styles of Latin music which i started to incorporate into my sets when possible, as well as Funk &  Soul which was greatly recieved by the Spanish public as there were not many Djs playing that sound.

Now back on British shores, im happy to be back rocking the dance floors again ….UK style. I am a great believer of  never being a prisoner of your own style, & now play out an eclectic mix of  Funk-Soul-Boogie-Latin & House. You can catch me showcasing all my musical styles on my “One Nation Under A Groove Show “ Every Tuesday 10-1am on Afro*Disiac Live Radio -  www.afro-disiac.co.uk
